PRODUCT BRIEF For fully utilize the resources of the fiber and provide more access interfaces to customer, EtherOptic Mux EOM-5000 (MK-II) is designed to combine four E1 ports plug a four ports 10/100Base/T switching hub with two extra modular slots, over a standard optical fiber, transmission distance can up to 50km. The EOM-5000 (MK-II) has 2 variety, the EOM-5000-A and EOM-5000-B; those provides more flexibility to match with different service requirements. EOM-5000-A provides 4 x E1 channels; and EOM-5000-B provides 4 x E1 plus 4 x 10/100BT switching Ethernet ports. It is field upgradable from EOM-5000-A to EOM-5000-B. Two modular slots are ready for plug in any types of voice or data module. Data module could be E1, V.35 or V.24; and voice module supports FXS and FXO as per customer request. The EOM-5000 (MK-II) adopts the time division multiplexing technology, that ensures 100Mbps Ethernet service and real-time transmission for any kinds of voice and data services. It is applicable for the clients office buildings, university colleges, internet cafe and long distance call center and other places to realize the comprehensive transmission of PABX and fast Ethernet access. The EOM-5000 (MK-II) supports front panel dip switches control and LED display. It enhances the management capability with SNMP and GUI web management by the optional built-in management module. For the high standard reliability requirement, optional 1+1 APS optic protection and redundant hot standby dual power supply with AC / DC input are available.
